Visual Field Testing

Visual field testing is a method of analyzing the extent of or decrease in central and peripheral vision. This simple, in-clinic test uses a fixation point and bright flashes of light on a screen. During the test, you will fixate on a specified point and press a button when you see a flash of light, and a computer will record your responses to map out the extent of your visual field for each eye.

This testing helps to detect damage to the optic nerve, brain and retina from such diseases as glaucoma, inherited eye disease, brain tumors, and strokes.
